www.stopthenscp.org is independently produced and funded and is not affiliated with any political or religious organisation. The author of www.stopthenscp.org is a Sydney based and committed to democracy and social justice. For many years now John Howard has pursued policies that undermine these principles. Policies that favour the rich at the expense of the poor, policies that favour vested interests over the common good. See for example Howard Government Big Spender on the Rich (2007).
At the same time John Howard characterises himself as a committed Christian. John Howard uses Christianity as a cover for his regressive social policies. The author has considered John Howard to be generally suspect since in the nineteen eighties when Howard opposed the implementation of economic and sporting sanctions on the South African apartheid regime, calls for which were which coincidently led by Bishop Tutu and resulted in a largely peaceful transition of power. Contrast this position with his enthusiastic support for the military invasion of Iraq for regime change, which has in turn become a humanitarian disaster.
The author has had enough and decided to take action! He has put his philosophical and legal training to use in developing the web site and pursuing this particular issue, one of many which require action!
